Melida Mercedes Nelson is the author of these Mom’s Keepsake letters. Melida has been married for more than 60 years. She has four “lovely” children, as she describes them; all married, and to spouses whom Mom also has a deep affection. Together Mom’s children have given her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
